“The Fold”

With the central concept of the fold—explored through the notions of proportion, repetition, and self-interruption, and manifested as a continuous discontinuity—we studied the new four-story building on Geronymaki Street in Heraklion. In this project, folding serves as a functional and expressive tool to break down the monolithic mass into a multidimensional ensemble with complex elevations that accommodate diverse functions.
