The project explores the idea of the cube as a sculptural object.
Rather than allowing balconies, semi-outdoor spaces and structural elements to operate as protrusions, they are absorbed into a single, continuous volume. The building is conceived as a solid mass that is carefully carved, perforated and articulated, creating voids that define light, movement and inhabitation.
Set on pilotis, the house appears lifted from the ground, reinforcing the perception of a floating object. The sculpting of the cube becomes the primary architectural gesture: subtraction over addition, precision over excess. Openings and diagonal cuts are not applied as decorative features, but as spatial operations that challenge the rigidity of the initial form.
The project comprises a two-storey residence above pilotis, a ground-floor apartment, underground parking and storage areas, and an outdoor swimming pool integrated into the surrounding landscape. Designed according to bioclimatic principles, the building achieves an A+ energy rating, aiming for minimal environmental footprint while maintaining spatial clarity and compositional discipline.
